The School Day

The school day starts promptly at 8.45 in ALL classrooms. All children are expected to be in their classrooms and engaged in learning by 8.50 to allow the register to be completed ahead of the first formal lesson of the day starting promptly at 9am.  Children arriving late cause disruption for the school office, other children in class and the class teachers and support staff.  Please endeavour to have your children on time every day.  

Late Arrivals

  • Anyone arriving after 8.55 must report to the main office and will be registered by the Admin team.
  • All parents should aim to be  off site by 8.55 as the gate will be locked and the site secured by the caretaker for the start of the school day.

Playground Behaviour

  • No bicycles / scooters are to be ridden on the playground- anyone caught riding on the playground will be prohibited from bringing their bicycle/scooter to school in the future.
  • No ball games to be played on the yard on a morning due to small children being on the yard.  There are to be no football games or ball games on the main playgrounds before school.

EYFS

Foundation Stage 1

Morning Session :  8.45-11.45

  • Drop off at Classroom Door
  • Collect at brown Gate – EYFS staff will bring children to you at home time.
  • The main school gate will open just before collection time, you do not need to ring the buzzer it is on a timer for F1 collection time.

Foundation Stage 2 (Reception)

8.45-315

  • Drop off at Classroom Door
  • Collect from same place  at the end of the day

Year 1 – Y6

School Day 8.45am -3.15pm

  • Children enter via main playground gate next to caretaker’s bungalow
  • Line up outside classroom door
  • Teacher’s will open classroom door to greet children ahead of 8.45
  • Collection is outside of classroom door at 3.15pm and staff will hand over children to parent/carers

Year 5/6 may walk home if written consent has been obtained via Arbor.
